I am shy, do I have to get onstage and perform?
No! Tribal bellydance classes are non competitive and fun, and you will experience a sense of community with your fellow dancers. Many use these classes to learn somthing new, or for a way to shape up. We do offer Student Salons twice a year for those that would like to  dress up and show off their new moves!

What do we wear to class???
Wear clothes that are comfortable to move in! Yoga pants and a close fitting T shirt ot tank top works well, or leggings and a full skirt. Tight jeans and skirts restrict movment, so we do not recommend them. We dance barefoot, but you are also welcome to wear soft slippers or socks. Throw on a hip scarf, and you are ready to go!

Anything else I should know before I start??
Our classes are for women only.
Please arrive on time.
Please abstain from applying perfume or essential oils before class. You teacher is extremely sensitive to fragrance, and others may be as well.
Please do not bring your children to class.

I thought you had to be young and thin to bellydance!

Not so! You need hips to shimmy, and a belly to bellydance! We encourage all ages, shapes and sizes! Our troupe, teachers and students range from slender to voluptuous, young to "experienced" (ahem...). We are all beautiful, and so are you!
